Where it Began
Michelle is the heart behind Ember and Earth Travel, a boutique travel company curating meaningful, women-only journeys rooted in connection, culture, and community.
A lifelong explorer, Michelle took her first solo international flight at 21, landing in Japan and spending over four years living overseas. Now based in Calgary and a mother of four, her love of travel never paused, shaping unforgettable experiences like visiting the birth countries of two of her children, spending a month volunteering with her family in Nepal, and returning to Japan 25 years after her first adventure.
Whether wandering vibrant streets or finding peace on solo trips, travel has always been her way to connect, reflect, and come back to herself. Through Ember and Earth, Michelle invites women to step away from the noise, reconnect with themselves and others, and embrace the richness that life has to offer.
